Welcome to the World of Writing: A Day in the Life of a Bibliophile!

I’m Maria Brizek, a huge book enthusiast, future English graduate student, passionate literary critic, and all around nerd.

I started this blog as a project for a college course on Writing for a Digital World. Once the class ended, I neglected to continue writing for this site.

But now, after a year-and-a-half, I’m back. Ready to focus more on books/authors in my literary passion: black American literature.

As a future graduate student I figure what better way to maintain my skills at reading, researching, analyzing, and writing then reviving this blog primarily dedicated to literature.
